Matt has been a part of CrossFit Chilliwack for 5 years. He started out as a member of the gym with very little fitness experience, but very quickly fell in love with CrossFit. It was a game changer for him. Still not sure what he wanted to do for a career, CrossFit became the passion he was looking for.
To some CrossFit is simply a work out program, but to Matt it’s a way of life.
His belief in CrossFit came following a serious injury leaving him requiring knee surgery. He continued to train as much as possible, using the CrossFit methodology of “everything is scalable” to prepare for the impending recovery he would have to endure. Post surgery he found that all the training he had done leading up really paid off. His recovery time was cut in half and was competing in CrossFit events 6 months. “CrossFit works, if you follow the programming and have the proper coaching. You will be fit for whatever life may throw your way.”
