Joe Lamb (Manager)

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Joe has been an active CrossFitter for a few years and recently succeeded in getting his Level 1 Certification. Although he doesn’t coach during the regular class times you will see him filling in when needed. When not at CrossFit Chilliwack he is actively pursuing his regular career with Panago.

 

Matt Evans

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Matt has been CrossFitting since January 2014 and completed his CrossFit Level 1 Certification. He one of our dedicated coaches that you will see around the Box most days. Matt is also our primary coach for the introductory Elements sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Jon Heron

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer, CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting Certified

Jon has been a CrossFit athlete for many years and is still making performance gains using the CrossFit methodology. Jon also enjoys both road and mountain biking, running and has competed in several short-course triathlons. Jon has taught for many years in a variety of topics; martial arts, tactics, fitness and cycling. Jon enjoys coaching others to increase their own physical fitness and performance.

Brad Hanninen

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Brad was introduced to CrossFit by a friend, and has been a member of CrossFit Chilliwack for 3 years. He has lived in Chilliwack his entire life and is thankful for that! He is employed by the City of Chilliwack and has many years of experience leaning on a shovel. Escaping to the outdoors to go hiking, snowboarding, fishing , or camping is what he prefers on the weekend. He continues to play hockey semi competitively, and of course likes the Canucks but hates riots.

His favourite movement is the snatch, but does not have a favourite WOD. The worst girl WOD would have to be Kelly by a landslide! I am thankful I found such a great gym and community full of inspiring members. The most rewarding part is witnessing people accomplish their goals and improve their fitness levels.

 

Marion Craig

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Marion found her love for CrossFit in 2013, when she tried it out in effort to fight age. The intensity and challenging movements inspired Marion to continue to push herself athletically. She appreciates the solid functional movement foundation that CrossFit provides for athletes of all ages.

 

She comes from an athletic background including competing internationally for Canada in triathlons and cross country skiing; racing for Team Canada in Morocco’s Eco challenge (1997); and competing in track, cross country & trail running events. She has competed in multiple events at the World Police and Fire Games and has numerous podium finishes with age group records to her name. She can still be seen competing in various athletic events but has turned her attention to coaching. This has included University and club runners as well as CrossFit athletes. Her focus has been to help athletes achieve their personal bests through improving form with a proper mix of training volume and intensity.

 

Marion has a Bachelor in Physical Education and has held BCRPA and NCCP certifications (for several sports). In an effort to incorporate her athletic background and education with CrossFit’s practices, she completed her Level 1 CrossFit. She moved into a coaching role at CFC, has taken CrossFit Endurance, and can be seen judging at the CrossFit Open events.

 

Brian Lim

Brian Lim

CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Brian has been a coach with CFC for a few years but unless you are a really early morning riser you may not have many opportunities to take advantage of his skills and advice although you will see him around the box during the week for his own workouts.


Shannon Lamb (Manager)

Shannon has been an active CrossFitter for just over a year and manages the daily business that is CFC on behalf of Joel and Sarah.

 

 

Joel Tobin (Owner)

Joel has been a full time CrossFit athlete for approximately 7 years. His previous athletic endeavours include 15 years of training in martial arts and competing at an international level. Joel is currently a police officer and in addition to his regular duties, is a firearm and use of force instructor. Joel’s special interests are nutrition, training combat athletes, the elderly and special population.

Sarah Tobin (Owner)
CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer, CrossFit Gymnastics Certified, CrossFit Movement & Mobility Specialist Certification

Sarah has spent years training using modified CrossFit principles so she was able to continue her athletic development throughout two pregnancies (see www.crossfitmom.com for more info). Previous to her involvement in CrossFit, Sarah spent two years training in Muay Thai Kickboxing, as well as training to be a fitness competitor.
